[comp.sys.mac] Bugs in word? And do you know what a Mac really looks like?

This might be a repeat, but there was a big crach here on our news server...:

I have a possible bug that I was wondering if there was a *cute* way
around. I have two monitors, one set virtually atop the other in the
control panel. If I want to save a finder window to the non-starup window
fine and dandy. If I want to send my trash can to the really lower right
bottom corner, no go on startup. The GLA window will not go either, and I
know it is coded to remember its location. Sure, I can put it there, but
on restart it pops to the middle of the startup screen.

Finally, Microsoft Word 3.02 has delete, cut, paste, insert, font change
. . . problems in the second monitor if I pull a window through both windows.
It just acts weird, until I scroll up or down one line, then what I should have
been shown before appears.

Also, a techinician our physics department wanted to get a hold of the pinouts
of macintoshes: plus, SE and II. Are these public, and if so could someone
send a note as to how to get them. He wants full diagrams of motherboards not
to copy, but so as to see ways to add enhancements and add-on boards we are
building.

Thanks ahead of time. We really need board information soon.

These are only my opinions.

Re: GLA the last version that I released was version 1.5. This checks
screenBits.bounds to ensure its saved location is on the screen, which does
NOT work on multiple-monitor systems (as screenBits.bounds is only defined for
the monitor that has the menubar on it). Version 1.6 is in the works, but
things like finals and the LSC debugger not wanting to let GLA 1.6a3 run
have kept a later version from being released. The correct way to do this,
of course, is with greyRgn, which is how I do it in version 1.6.

In any case, while there may be some problems engendered by using two
monitors in the way that you are using them, GLA 1.5 is not a valid test of
that problem.
