[comp.sys.mac] new System

Was installing the new system last night when the Installer complained,
Can't find FKEY 4. Hmmmm.. Deleted Laserkey (Never used it anyway.) and
copied FKEY 4 back into the system. Worked fine after that.
Question. Why did they change FKEY 4? Still doesn't work with the LW.
Wish they would get a version which did work. Oh Well.

It's is not, it isn't ain't, and it's it's, not its, if you mean it
is. If you don't, it's its. Then too, it's hers. It isn't her's. It
isn't our's either. It's ours, and likewise yours and theirs.

I am new to using Macs, and I'm curious about the new version of the
System. The Macs that I just bought came with version 6.0 of the
System, but I notice that everyone here is using 6.0.2. I sent in my
registration card to Apple, and was supposed to receive "free
updates". Is the new version of the System included in this "free
update", or do I have to buy it from the dealer? If it does come with
the "free update", how long is the usual wait for the update to be
sent out (I sent in the registration card at least a month ago).

Thanks for the replies about upgrading system files. My dealer told
me that I'd have to get the upgrade from Apple via some sort of
registration process. I thought that was pretty strange. Thanks for
the backup.
