[comp.sys.mac] interferon checking twice

AXS101@PSUVM.BITNET (Adrian Sullivan) (12/09/88)

seems i've always had the problem with interferon(3.0) checking some volumes
twice, and not checking others. i'm not sure if this is because when i check
i usually have two floppies, and three hard drives mounted (two 60meg, one 20)
even if i have ti selected as ALL VOLUMES, or as selected volumes (and have all
of them selected). anyone else with this problem? and if so, does 3.1 have it?
i've downloaded 3.1, but haven't had the time to run my viral check yet. respon
d thru e-mail or post. maybe both if you could please. sometimes i miss netnews
info, and i'm sure others might want to hear this.

I have a 140 MB HD that is partitioned into three parts...
two 20's and a 100. Essentially, the computer thinks that I have four
drives (counting the floppy). Intereferon does the same with my drives
and usually checks the large partition twice (only by coincidence I
suppose) This really gts on my nerves because if I don't catcht the
error it takes forever to check my drives especially the 100MB HD twice.
This is interferon 3.1.
If anyone knows anything about this psycho problem, I would appreciate
some help.

i have noticed the same problem.
the common element seems to be that Interferon has problems with the
hard drive.

when i run it on a Mac SE with a 20meg Apple supplied drive it will,
without fail, check the hard drive twice.

any idea would be appreciated.

thank you
