Does anyone out there in netland know anything about Apple's Arabic Interface System (sort of an Arabic Kanji system)? I'm having some trouble getting it to work with System 6.02. I was able to make it work with System 4.2 (System Tools 5.0) by copying all relevent resources from the old system and pasting it into the new one and then placing the INIT file into the System Folder. Trying this same technique with System 6.02 results in only a beep during startup and the materials are not loaded in. I only need the ability to type in Arabic and do not need the Arabic menus and error messages. It is quite useful with graphics programs such as Canvas (an excellent program). However, Canvas 2.0 requires System 6.0 or later and I can't stand using an "old" System. Is there any way I can correct this problem or is there a new version of AIS that I (and APDA) don't know about? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
