[comp.sys.mac] LSP 2.0 bugs?

) (12/10/88)

I just received the Lightspeed (Think, whatever) Pascal 2.0 upgrade a few days
but it seems to have a bug. When I select the source options item on the edit
menu to customize the edit window, and select Fonts, I get an alert saying
...critically low on memory, please save and quit ASAP. This is OK, but it has
a 1MB partition under MultiFinder, and the Finder shows about 2/3 free!

I'm running System 6.0.2 on a 2.5MB SE with a few inits: Stepping Out II,
Suitcase II, Quickeys. Any known problems with this setup??

I do notice that the pop-up menus don't display correctly with Stepping Out II.

As always, thanks.

How much memory the Finder has is irrelevant.

We haven't tested Pascal 2.0 with Stepping Out, but I will make a note
to do so. In-house, we tested Pascal with a variety of background packages,
including Suitcase and QuicKeys, and I use it with Suitcase II every day;
it could wellbe an interaction with Stepping Out.

Try removing it and see how that works.

No! I didn't make myself clear. I meant that there is 2/3 (i.e. 2/3 of a
megabyte) free in the LSP partition.

Okey-dokey. I'll try removing Stepping Out, but it is a phenomenally useful
widget; it would be nice if LSP could work and play well with others. LSC
works just fine with Stepping Out, BTW.
