For those who can ftp to my site, the requested LW+ NFNTs are available. The filenames are: avantgarde.hqx bookman.hqx courier.hqx helvetica.hqx helveticanarrow.hqx newcentury.hqx palatino.hqx symbol.hqx times.hqx zapfchancery.hqx zapfdingbats.hqx For those who have asked, these were created by taking the fonts from Adobe, and using Fontastic (latest version) to convert them into NFNT families. That sounds simple, but it turns out to have taken a great deal of time to massage the Adobe versions into a form that both the Font/DA Mover and Fontastic would like. Then they could be converted, and after that, the font numbers had to be re-established because Fontastic thinks you shouldn't be allowed to use the Apple-reserved numbers. ResEdit was required here. The point is, the process was automated, and the fonts are clean and tested. Each file on my account has been re-downloaded, un-BinHex'd, un-StuffIt'd, and put into my system folder, and then printed with all style variations. I will be sending these to Roger Long, moderator of the binaries group. He has been leery in the past of copyright violations, and refused to post some work that people did in creating larger-version screen fonts of Apple fonts, for example a 24-point Los Angeles. He was wary of intellectual-rights violations. I do not know whether he will feel the same way about these. If he refuses to post them and you still need these, email me a request and we will work some- thing out. If nothing else, we can use disks via usnail.
