If one tries to Search... or Change... with ^233 in the search for field, the whole machine crashes. I've got a Mac II with 5M and running 6.02 (not Multifinder). It just crashes completely. The machine has to be rebooted from the programmer's key on the side. (no, the mouse doesn't move either) Microsoft, I'm sure you've found this one; but just in case you didn't. Please try it in 4.0 before you go to press. I was just playing around with getting rid of extra linefeeds (^10) and did a search on (^233). I would guess that you are assumming a certain positive integer format and 233 goes negative. Anyway it bombs completely.
