Several days ago, I mentioned that we can not upgrade our mac to System 6.0.2 due to the network. Someone said that he used old System but new laser- driver with no problem. We just bought some programs that require System 6.0 at least. Can I use System 6.0.2 with the old laserprinter driver? I thought that was the only one affecting network.

Yes, you can mix System 5 and 6 and have everyone use System 5 printing
resources. I didn't know you could use System 6 printing resources with
System 5. If that is true, then we could easily put everyone on System
6 printing resources and not worry about which system they use. Can
someone confirm this? It would really help us a lot. My boss isn't very
excited about spending a weekend here updating all of the rest of the
systems (even with my help :-)).

Yes, we have been doing it here for the past several weeks (since we got our MacDraw IIs in.
