My external disk drive (from Central Point Software) has started acting funny. It doesn't read disks correctly all the time, even though they read fine in the internal drive. The strange thing is that it always seems to have the same problem: some of the "AA" disk bytes are dropped. For instance, "D5 AA AD" ==> "D5 AD" once in a while. Any thoughts? Could it be the drive alignment, maybe? It seems to work better with disks that were originally formatted in it, as opposed to in my internal....
