=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION you may have about a recommended Ext. HD for the SE. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= I have heard good things ($$ per meg) about mail order prices for these Hard drives. Would anyone that has experiences with any of these please Email to me (our UNIX system purges mail every other day unexpectedly so I CANNOT rely on it for the news). If you cannot Email, then at least post to this newsgroup and I'll hope to see it. My money is burning holes in my pockets ... 1. Miniscribe 60 Meg 2. MiniScribe 160 Meg (to be on the market Feb '89) 3. Rodime 144 Meg If you know of any RECENT PRODUCT REVIEWS, please also share. I'll post the responses if the traffic is sufficient. If you have a hard drive that is around $9.00 to $11.00 per meg and you would recommend it, then please share that too. I have seen ads in the Apple Mags for large HD's going for around $9.00 per meg. Is this a sign of poor quality ? Or what ? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= THANKS ... IN ... ADVANCE !!! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Dave =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= EOT

You also might look into the Seagate ST277N. This 60mb drive will cost anywhere from $425 - $475. It works fine in the Tulin enclosure ($119). -ken
