I have a hard disk with my Mac but I still have skads of diskettes laying around which I would like to use for archiving infrequently used stuff on my h/d. But the diskettes still have s/w of all types...some old, some still useful, some garbage, etc. I need to organize this mess, quickly, efficiently, and neatly. What I need to do this is a slick way to organize what I have on diskettes (shift stuff around) and then re-label everything. I would prefer to do this all within the same program but I would be willing to use two separate programs if I have to. Does anyone out there in netland have recommendations as to what s/w does the best job at any of this, but most specifically the labeling part of it??? I am mostly interested in using pin-feed labels. While I am at it...Does anyone know where I can get multi-colored pin-feed labels for cheap?? (<$12 for ~200+ labels) I don't mean each label multi-colored (in some rainbow effect) but one box containing 50 each of say 6 different colors? I am aware of Educomp but they only sell all white or all one color (you chose the color) for a not very cheap price. Then they throw in a $4.00 shipping/handling fee which, for a $10-12 order makes it spendy. I am also aware of Avery white pinfeed labels. They look reasonably priced and have colored tabs to put on the disk edges. Has anyone found this to be an effective method? Please send responses to me directly at the addr below or post for all to read.
