Does anyone have a phonetic font for the Mac/Laserwriter? I mean a real phonetic font, more particular the IPA symbol set. I would prefer a PostScript font, because bitmapped fonts don't look good on a laserwriter. If it also shows up on the Mac screen, I would be perfectly happy. It's kind of urgent (for an overdue report). Jo Lammens, SUNY at Buffalo BITNET: lammens@sunybcs.BITNET Internet: lammens@cs.Buffalo.EDU UUCP: ...!{watmath,boulder,decvax,rutgers}!sunybcs!lammens

I just got a set of fonts called 'LaserIPA' from Linguist's Software Inc., P.O. Box 580, Edmonds, WA, 98020-0580. It includes both Times and Helvetica derivitive IPA character sets, as dowloadable PostScript fonts. Also includes the screen bit maps, and the AFM files. Very complete, good looking characters. I think the Helvetica IPA is the same as UCLA's IPAplus font, but I'm not sure. Mike Blackwell, mkb@rover.ri.cmu.edu --
