[comp.sys.mac] On Cue / TMON incompatibility

lim@iris.ucdavis.edu (Lloyd Lim) (01/17/89)

I have narrowed down an INIT conflict to On Cue 1.0 and TMON 2.8.1. The two
INITs cause an ID=2 error during system startup. This occurs on my Mac Plus
with System 6.0.2. This does not occur on Mac SE's or Mac II's that I use at
work. I have removed all other INITs, CDEVs, and RDEVs to make sure that these
are the ones causing the problem.

Has anyone else noticed this problem? Are there new versions to fix this bug?
My apologies if this has been noted before and is old news.

Lloyd,

Have you tried renaming the INITs? I personally have TMON 2.8.1 loading
before On Cue 1.3 by renaming the TMON Startup to " TMON Startup" and things
work fine.

I haven't noticed an error at system startup, using On Cue 1.0 and
TMON 2.8.1, but lately every now and then I'll get a bomb on an
odd address error (some is accessing location 0Dh as a word). I
hadn't thought to suspect TMON and On Cue, since the problem started
just recently (after I installed new Pyro and Suitcase). Are there
any problems that anyone knows about with these?

Considering that the same company, ICOM Simulations markets/develops both
products, I find this hard to believe (also I use them both myself without
mishap). The currently version of On Cue is 1.3, and I would suggest that
you get an update (as that may be part/all of the problem).
