. I might have the opportunity to purchase a LaserView Mac II display card (made by a company called Sigma Designs) for relatively small sum. The only problem is that its just the display card, NO MONITOR. I'd love to have 1664 x 1200 (120 dpi) 19-inch display on my Mac II but I'm not sure if my budget can handle the price of a monitor that will work with this card. In short, I'm looking for the most economical (read cheapest) way to get a monitor that will work with a LaserView Display card. Any replies in the following categories would be greatly appreciated! o Anyone who has successfully connected a monitor OTHER than Sigma Designs' to their LaserView display card. Specifically: where to purchase, how much, and how well does it work. I've noticed that a few other big screen makers for the mac (MegaGraphics, Nutmeg?) use the same monitor as Sigma, so I was hoping that they might be available to end users. o Anyone who has purchased a monitor ALONE (from Sigma) for the LaserView. I saw a price in an old MacUser review stating that the monitor cost $1400 but didn't mention whether you could buy it separately. o Any comments on the LaserView display in general. Also, I have some fliers from Sigma Designs describing a monitor/display card combination called the L-View. Looking at the specs and comparing them to the ones for the LaserView the two look identical. Can anybody confirm this, or has anyone connected the "L-View" monitor the a "LaserView" display card? Thanks in advance! Myron Meier Myron-Meier@cup.portal.com
