In Comp.Newprod there's an article about accessory available that lets your Mac answer your telephone and speak to the person calling . A business could have it take calls after closing and you can press a button to leave a message (voice mail) or to get some info instead of getting a "no-answer". Or maybe you could set up a voice+computer bbs or something from your home with it! It doesn't use voice recognition, but does have touchtone voice-response with digitized human voice and/or voice synthesis. Voice Rec really isn't developed enough yet. ( or cheap enough for everyday home use.) It does some other stuff too, like placing calls for you, or while you're away (timer) or turning equip on&off from your mac or from far away using a phone

But looking at the price, I think I'll prefer to build such a package from scratch by myself.
