Does anyone know of an online version of Websters or the OED or similar?

I don't have any online dictionary that you might be interested in, but I know that the OED isn't yet online. The OED project at Waterloo has been underway now for a while and it will be several years before most of the dictionary is online. It will be more than just a dictionary though. Sorry that I can't be of more help about the OED. James Woods (jaw@ames.UUCP) used one for his anagram program (see Computer Recreations, Sept. 1984 Scientific American). He has mentioned to me that he obtained it from some people at Bell Labs for use in his program. You may want to contact him to find out more about it. I am pretty sure that it is Webster's that he used. Herb Chong... I'm user-friendly -- I don't byte, I nybble....
