I'd like to buy an external floppy drive for my Mac Plus. MacConnection carries the Cutting Edge drive for $175, but they say that people have had problems using it with the Plus and they recommend it only for the SE, and that Cutting Edge will be shipping them an improved model next month. Programs Plus also sells the Cutting Edge (also for $175); they say that there were problems with older Cutting Edges and Pluses, but that the current drives are OK. I would appreciate hearing from people who have used the Cutting Edge, or any other non-Apple external drive.
