How about this situation: Late last week, the air conditioning broke down in our machine room. This caused the temperature to rise above 95 degrees. (It was over the weekend; a VAX 11/780 is supposed to be able to run itself.) This high temperature caused the destruction of our user disk, a RP07 DEC drive. Then when that drive was replaced with a new one (actually just new parts), a faulty backup tape caused me to lose some of my files. To top things off, disk problems at our news-feeding site caused the loss of over a week of postings. So could someone help me restore our archive? I would appreciate it if someone could send me a copy of StuffIt 1.5.1, the recent MandelZot postings, anything to view GIF files, and anything else that we missed and do not yet know about. (BinHex and Stuffit archives are fine; I have a copy of UnStuffit but not Stuffit.) Also, does any of the Internet archives have a copy of HyperBBS? If so, is it possible to get a copy? (I could send a disk if necessary.) Thanks, Michael Niehaus Ball State University UUCP: ..!{pur-ee,iuvax}!bsu-cs!mithomas
