I need a little help. I am working on my senior research here at Stetson University trying to get a Macintosh to talk to its choice of a Sun, a microVAX or a VAX. What I am looking for is a TCP/IP driver for the Mac. I would prefer it to be in the form of a driver which is installed with the system (ie. dropped in the system folder) an available through an implementation of BSD 4.3 sockets. Of course, being a student, I need it to be FREE (I might be able to find some funding, but only as a last resort). Does anyone out there have any recomendations or information on how I can get my hands on such a package ?????? Any and all info would be appreciated. NCSA Telnet is public domain TCP/IP for the Macintosh. ftp to ftp.ncsa.uiuc.edu to download (128.174.20.50). We will be adding a mail-based server later this year. Tim Krauskopf NCSA

The NCSA Telnet package contains a TCP/IP driver. NCSA Telnet is public domain and I believe that source code is available via anonymous ftp from ftp.ncsa.uiuc.edu. The IP address is 128.174.20.50. After connecting cd into the mac subdirectory and check out the README file (it may be named info-sheet) for information on the files available. Spero Koulouras Hewlett-Packard
