It seems to run on a Mac IIx, but the color support doesn't work.  The color
representation in the dialogs is off, and the preview ofan illustration uses
black and white only.

The problem seems to be that Illustrator 88 checks the machine type for a
Mac II, rather than checking for the existence of Color Quickdraw.  This
means color won't work on the Mac SE/30 either.  It looks to be easy to
patch the software for a particular machine, because it calls SysEnvirons
to get the machine type.
