Often when printing a document under MultiFinder, the PrintMonitor doesn'always launch itself. I have to do it manually (I use a QuickKeys macro that, curiously, only seems to works consistently when used from MultiFinder. There is also a special trick to defining this QuicKeys macro for the latest System). This usually only happens a f t e r working normally for one set of print jobs, that is, after terminating once. Print jobs added to the queue while PrintMonitor is still active are fine. We've experienced this from the last System or two on SE's and Mac+'s, though it seems to afflict SE's more than the Mac+'s (unless our Mac+ users aren't complaining as much as they used to). :-) Has anybody else experienced this? Any fixes? Or do I just have to keep launching it manually? To me it's just an anoyance but it confuses the hell out of our neophyte types. If you have any solutions, please respond using email and I'll summarize and post. Flip side, joe piazza --- In capitalism, man exploits man. In communism, it's the other way around. CS Dept.
