[comp.sys.mac] Need virus info

pal@rayssdb.ray.com (Paul A. Levy) (01/26/89)

I need info on detection and cures for computer viruses.

	What programs are good?
What is a reasonable procedure for control in a
	large organization?

Finally, is there a computer equivalent of the Center for
Disease Control? I thought that such an organization existed
	somewhere on the west coast.

Some programs that I have on hand just in case I suspect a new Public Domain
program that I get from a BBS or otherwise are early.exe and chk4bomb.exe.

I got these years ago from my local BBS. They check programs for direct
I/O to the disk (I think. The net and unix are too fun to mess with BBS's
anymore :-), so I haven't used it for a while.

Rame.
