I need info on detection and cures for computer viruses. What programs are good? What is a reasonable procedure for control in a large organization? Finally, is there a computer equivalent of the Center for Disease Control? I thought that such an organization existed somewhere on the west coast. -- Paul Levy ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Internet: pal@rayssdb.RAY.COM UUCP: {decuac, gatech, mimsy, mirror, necntc, sun, uiucdcs, ukma}!rayssdb!pal ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The opinions expressed herein are mine.

Some programs that I have on hand just in case I suspect a new Public Domain program that I get from a BBS or otherwise are early.exe and chk4bomb.exe. I got these years ago from my local BBS. They check programs for direct I/O to the disk (I think. The net and unix are too fun to mess with BBS's anymore :-), so I haven't used it for a while. Rame. -- Ramon L.
