Does anyone know if the programs "sz" and "rz" are available anywhere by FTP. These are Sun unix programs that are supposed to allow use of the zmodem protocal to transfer files using the recently posted ZTERM program. -- Gilbert Harman Princeton University Cognitive Science Laboratory 221 Nassau Street, Princeton, NJ 08542 ghh@princeton.edu HARMAN@PUCC.BITNET

I took them off uunet.uu.net this morning. They are now in the Info-Mac archive as /info-mac/unix/zmodem-part*.shar. You can anonymous FTP to sumex-aim.stanford.edu to access the archive. They're part of the zmodem package, distributed in comp.sources.unix back in early '88. They can be accessed via anonymous FTP from the uunet.uu.net machine. The directory in which to look is ~ftp/comp.sources.unix/volume12/zmodem. The files in that directory are compressed, so be sure to set your FTP for a binary-mode transfer. The zmodem program-set supports XMODEM, YMODEM-Batch, and ZMODEM. It's quite nice! -- Dave Platt FIDONET: Dave Platt on 1:204/444 VOICE: (415) 493-8805 UUCP: ...!{ames,sun,uunet}!coherent!dplatt DOMAIN: dplatt@coherent.com INTERNET: coherent!dplatt@ames.arpa, ...@sun.com, ...@uunet.uu.net USNAIL: Coherent Thought Inc. 3350 West Bayshore #205 Palo Alto CA 94303
