I am the systems programmer for a department with around 25 Macs (pluses, SEs, and IIs), and around 10 Suns. Often, two professors want to collaborate, where one works on a Mac using MicroSoft Word (and etc.), and the other uses a Sun and LaTeX. And so I'd like to find a way to convert between the two. File transfer is no problem: besides kermit we will be installing a Gator Box. The highest priority is going from Suns (LaTeX source, DVI format, or PostScript format) to Macs (MS Word format, or anything that can be read by Word, such as MacWrite). Going the other direction is much less critical. Please respond via email, since I do not read this group. Your help is much appreciated. Charles H. On a related topic, is there a way to include postscript generated elsewhere (by TeX, for example) in a Word document? David Rudolph rudolph@m.cs.uiuc.edu University of Illinois
