Hi all. I own a Mac II, and have been seeing a lot of traffic on the subject of Apple's new machines and policies. I am curious to know what the future is for my machine. Is Apple going to phase it out? What upgrade paths might I have available in the future if they did? Will Apple release an '030 machine with better architecture (i.e. faster?) On that trail, has anyone used the Daystar Digital '030 daughterboard accelerator? If you have, how is it- how is compatibility, what is the speed like when running it, etc... If Apple releases a faster '030 will I have an upgrade path to *that*? (Whew! :-)) Any and all replies to any of the above questions are appreciated and thank you all in advance. -JBZimmerman! Disclaimer: My University doesn't even know I exist, except to bill me. FlameProofing: I am not at all dissatisfied with my machine, and love dearly. Just curious, is all. :-) -- ___________ | "Elephant- a mouse built to government || | specifications." -RAH as LL || ||acob Zimmerman!+> <zimerman@phoenix.Princeton.EDU> INTERNET === | <zimerman@PUCC> BITnet
