Just some helpful advice...
I was using Word 3.0.2, along with Word-Finder (thesaurus) when a
broadcast message came through.. I clicked on "Answer" to respond,
and as soon as I finished my message, I hit 'enter' and it hung.. I won't
talk about the work I lost, but after clearing up the mess, I tried it again,
and sure enough it hung again..
The moral of the story? If you are on an appletalk network, and
you use broadcast, don't send a message while you are under the
control of another desk accessory.
And save your work often.. I use saviour set to every 500 seconds,
and about every 30 minutes, I use save as and add a revision # to the
document I'm working on.
Have a nice day,
and don't rag on Microsoft too much for
Word crashes.. System 6.0.2 tells you it's
the second attempt at bug fixes :-(, and
if you use Save as, which isn't an
unreasonable request, Word is still a
powerful program :-).
P.S. Isn't there supposed to be a MacWrite 2.0 out
that will rival Word's power?
