We just upgraded our Mac II to 5 meg and installed MultiFinder and are having problems printing to our LaserWriter II-NT. With background printing turned off, it generally works OK. With it turned on we get a variety of error messages, such as "file couldn't be found or is busy" and "can't open printer". Spool files appear to accumulate in the system folder for each failed attempt. If I try to start up the PrintMonitor application, I get the following "interesting" error dialog: "PrintMonitor found an internal problem. Where = 6, Why = -37." I've tried deleting spool files, replacing the PrintMonitor application from the floppies, re-booting, etc. We have no problems with PrintMonitor from our 2.5 MB Mac Plus on the same LocalTalk net. We're running System 6.0.2, 5 MB Mac II, external Everex 91 MB disk, Mass Micro DataPak, E-Machines Z-21 grayscale Monitor. Any help would be appreciated!
