I received my update to McMax 2.0 today. (Before I get flamed, I bought it when the only choice was dBASEMac. Sure, I wish I'd waited until I got Foxbase, but it does what I tell it.) I haven't tried its new features but essentially Nantucket seems to have tried to Mac-ify McMax by extending the dBASE III+ command set to permit pull-down menus, sound, printer control, buttons, etc. McMax now allows XCMDs XFCNs and other goodies. I don't have any idea of its speed. I may run a few comparisons with McMax 1.0, which was reported to be only slightly slower than Foxbase, i.e., faster than everything else. Steve Goldfield
