i have been working on my mac2 for some time now, and there are some things that i have been needing. if you know what i need, please send me mail or (better yet) a binhexed file containing the stuff. i do not have time to read this net, so email to my address direct, if you will. i am sure the utilities i need must exist somewhere, as they are not very difficult and are common in other operating systems. BATCH FILE PRINTING why can't you do this from the operating system level? i am told that a lot of the printing routines are down in ROMland anyway, but you need an application to get to them. my research work produces lots and lots of little ASCII files which are passed from one microcomputer to the next. when a cluster of them are on the mac2, i want to highlight a bunch of them, then pull down the DAs or go to the command line and have them sent to the printer for just straight ASCII hardcopy. no fancy fonts, just straight hardcopy that is easy to get. right now i have to keep some crappy wysiwyg editor around, launch all that overhead i don't want or need, then select each file one at a time. it would be nice to be able to send a batch of PIC or TIFF or even MACDRAW files to the printer for straight bit-map printing, but that may be asking too much? stan BITNET : XM0P @ PURCCVM (* note, zero, not Oh *) SnailMail : Special Education; Purdue University; W.
