Ok - here's the scoop. In several word processors (WriteNow 1.1 and MacWrite 4.2 on my Mac SE, and WORD 3.02 on the School's Mac II's) I have the following problem. I type out a document, and when I go to print it out on an Imagewriter II, it screws up the first line of the text on the first page in WriteNow and MacWrite, or the first line of ALL of the pages in WORD 3.02 by compressing the type. I can fix first line distortion in WriteNow and MacWrite, by adding a line return at the top of the page, and I do the same to the top of every page of a WORD document on the Schools Mac II's. What's up? My Imagewriter does it. My parent's Imagewriter II does it, the College's ImageWriter II's do it. My brother's Imagewriter I DOESN'T do it. WHY? Please E-MAIL me with any responses/fixes.
