I know of such a dictionary (they come along with the french version of MS Word). BUT: I have tried to use a German dictionary with the english version of Word (The german and english version number of MS WORD were DIFFERENT)but Word failed to USE that dictionary. I've tried various ways of trying to get WORD to use it: the only way it worked was to use the german version of Word. I do not know whether the same would be true with other languages (e.g. French). I had the same problem with the US version of MS Word and a Dutch dictionary.
So, I phoned the MicroSoft importer in the Netherlands, and was told by one
of their technical persons that the company who made the spellingchecker
(it wasn't MS!!) could not make the dictionary formats compatible for the
diffferent language versions. He told me that it would work in MS Word
version 4.0, though.
