I am very interested in writing a BBS for the Macintosh which can handle two users at the same time. Aside from the actual Hard Drive workings (two people trying to write at the same time), can someone tell me if the Modem and Printer Ports can both be used for modems at the same time? If so, will data being sent through the ports be much slower, or is there a way to work around it? Thanks in advance, Dan Church dansnsr@nmt.sun.edu

There is already such a BBS - the new version of NovaLink will support the use of both ports at the same time.

NovaLink is a multi-port/line BBS for the Mac which does a fine job at 9600 on multiple lines (supposedly does 19.2 but I have never tried!) -- +--------------------------------------------------+ Leonard Rosenthol | GEnie : MACgician Lazerware, inc. | MacNet: MACgician UUCP: svc@well.UUCP | ALink : D0025
