Does anyone (especially within the "priviledged" part of Apple) have a copy of Virus Rx 1.4 that they could post to comp.binaries.mac? I read the announcement on AppleLink yesterday that the new 1.4 is available. If I had the money (they only give me a certain amount of time per month, which I have exceeded alread) I would download it myself, but since I am a poor college student, it's beyond my means. Also, could someone please post the latest batch of Tech notes? We aren't lucky enough here to be on Bitnet or ARPA so we have to rely on the news- group to get anything (as I am sure many other sites do as well). It would be nice if we could access the different archive servers, but we can't. (Yes, I know it is possible to access the Rice archive; I have done it before, but our sysadm threw fits: the files were too large for his 2400 baud modem to handle in stride.) We also haven't received the latest version of ZTerm at all. I don't know if the moderator is planning on sending this (we have been receiving a demo of a debugger for the last week), but we would very much like to see version 0.75. We liked version 0.7 very much, although the VT100 emulation was a bit rough (understatement). Come to think of it, I can't remember the last piece of software that we received before the debugger demo. I think it was some sort of HyperCard stack, possibly on women's issues... Please don't mail anything to me. I'm afraid of receiving a message that says "Sorry: you abused your priviledges by allowing yourself to receive large mail messages. You disk quota is hereby cut to 5K." And for heaven's sake, whenever you put something in an archive, post it as well.
