I just noticed that Virus Detective 2.1 is coming through via
Comp.binaries.mac. Though I have only seen part 1 of the posting, I assume
that the title is correct and this in _not_ Virus Detective 2.1.1, which was
just released.
Following is a message from Jeff Shulman, author of Virus Detective,
explaining the problem with version 2.1, and a way to patch it. (I assume the
moderator of Comp.binaries.mac. already has v. 2.1.1 in hand, and it will show
up soon on Comp.binaries.mac.)

Even though you should not use VD to remove any resources keeping the
Remove button from working at all may have been going a little too far
:-> (It was a typo, really!) To correct for the silly mistake change 2
occurrances of:
4A6B 003A 67
to:
4A6B 003A 66
I will be posting 2.1.1 within 24 hours with this fix and one other
(seems the parser will accept certain illegal hex patterns). Sorry for
this inconvenience. These bugs DO NOT affect VD's ability to locate any
resources however!
