I recently saw an ad for a high-speed cache card for the Mac II that was boasting 22% speed increase and was 'end-user installable in 5 minutes.' The price was $299 and it is manufactured by Orchid Technologies. Has anyone used this board? IS it installable in five minutes? Does it break anything (software)? And do you think the increase is a)noticeabl and b) worth $300? Also, has anyone out there used the Dove '030 33.3 MHz accelerator? I was wondering why it is priced near $1000 when the DayStar Digital was around $6000...why is the DayStar so much better if they run at the same speed? ANy information appreciated. Thanks Much! -JBZimmerman!
