[comp.sys.mac] FWP 1.?

Can someone tell me what the most recent version number for FullWrite Pro
is? I've got 1.0, and I did send in my registration card, but I remember
someone saying that Ashton-Tate had sent out upgrade disks when System
6.0.2 was released (some bundle bits were set in some of the files sent
with FWP 1.0). I'd like to know if I'm missing something (like an improvement
in speed... ;-).

As far as I know, there have been one, possibly two, minor upgrades to FWP.

First, the re-issued the dictionary files with the bundle bit turned off.
Primarily of interest to people who haven't heard of things like Disktop.

Also, I was told there was a maintenance release pending a while back that
fixed a couple of crashing bugs and some other minor things. I never heard
that it had shipped, but it was supposedly close a couple of months ago.

This requires rewriting a good part of the internal driving engine of the
word processor. It'll be addressed (in theory) in FWP 2.0 (I was told to
expect it sometime in April or so....) but there wasn't any way to speed it
up with quickfixes -- it required massive hacking.
