Hi Net! I have a friend with a two-floppy SE who is looking to acquire a hard drive. Does anyone out there have a 20-30meg hard drive for the SE that he/she no longer needs? *Some* of you must have upgraded from Apple's clunkers...:-) Anyhow, if you have one for sale (used obviously!) or know someone who has one for sale, and are willing, please drop me a note. Thanks! -JBZimmerman! -- ___________ | "Elephant- a mouse built to government || | specifications." -RAH as LL || ||acob Zimmerman!+> <zimerman@phoenix.Princeton.EDU> INTERNET === | <zimerman@PUCC> BITnet

I have a 20Meg Everex external and an 30Meg CMS internal that I am interested in selling. Both have seen very little use because shortly after I acquired them I decided to get a Mac II with an internal 80Meg. The 20Meg external is $450, and the 30Meg internal is $500. I also have and extra 80Meg Apple internal for MacII/IIx for $900 if you know of anyone interested.... Jeff Huber jth90342@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu (217)351-7084

Have you look into Optima Technolgies prices on hard disks? They are really good prices for Quantum HD's! You can return your second 3.5 floppy and get a $100 credit for a total net cost to you of $349 ( That's 449 - 100(floppy drive) = $349 ) for a 31 megabyte, 50K MTBF, 28ms. 2 yr warranty. disk caching, and a 30 day money back guarantee. The best quality to price HD for the Mac today is the Quantum..... Also, I think MacConnection or Programs Plus are advertising a Miniscribe 20mb internal for $379 ( probably 65ms access). Anyway, check out the Quantum line and look into MacUser's classified sections for best prices. You can find a good deal ( can't say for sure if that means good drive in exchange) for HD's today. Optimal's number is 800-637-0088. Even, Ehmann Engineering is advertising a 31 meg internal for $449. (800) 257-1666. Anyway, if you can get a new one for say about %10 - 15 more than a used one, get the new one!

I personally don't have a drive for sale, but I know of a good deal on a slightly used Jasmine DD50 - I forget the asking price... I believe he is asking $550 for it... the seller runs a BBS in NJ, and needs more capacity, so is upgrading to a DD100 - the number for the BBS (where you can leave the Sysop mail if you're interested) is 201-299-1445. The board is PCP accessible via NJNEW node. Hope this helps. Geoff. gcrooks@unc.bitnet
