[comp.sys.mac] Timed Mac II Startup

hammen@csd4.milw.wisc.edu (Robert J. Hammen) (03/06/89)

A couple of days ago, I remember reading (in an article I now can't find)
someone bemoaning the fact that there was no way to have a timer activate
their Mac II. Well, I just happened to (finally!) receive my copy of the
latest BMUG bible, er, newsletter, and there is an article in there by a
guy who has created a product called Time MACTIVATOR, which is a battery
operated digital clock which performs the "power-on keypress" at the
set time. The company also has a product called MACTIVATOR that lets you
turn your machine on by phone. The current version requires the BSR X-10
Powerhouse remote control stuff, but they are working on a standalone product.

The TimeMACTIVATOR lists for $45, and the MACTIVATOR is $100.
