Can anybody help me with the DA called VT100? It sounds like what I want,
but I can't get it to work! I discovered it on usenet comp.binaries.mac,
downloaded it, unbinhexed it (trying both v 4.0 and 5.0, in case that
matters?), and then un-PackIt-ed it. Result: a da vt100 and a font vt100.
I installed both with font/da mover (I tried both orders of doing that).
I restarted the mac (to be sure). Invoking vt100 da then displays
alert box: you must install vt100 font, then refuses to run.
Did I do something wrong? Is there some trick with redit to match
resource and/or font numbers? Was there a bad version of vt100 posted
on usenet? Help!
I mailed the poster: rmonsen@bbn.com, but the mail gets bounced: unkwon
unknown user.
VT100 sounds like the best contender for what I want because it
has what I need (9600
baud, vt100 emulation) and is very small (11K) and is a da (which is nice).
Of course, I've never seen it run... johnz@basser.oz (John Zic) (03/05/89)
If anyone *does* find out how to make the vt100 da work, please please
post it to the net. There are at least 4 people that I know that would
love to have it working!

I don't know about THIS DA, but there is one I have tried called Terminal DA (V1.5 i think.) I used this before I got Versaterm, so i don't know if it has been updated by now. I had no problem with it - I did have to install a font like you did (.Dec 10 was the name.) You can get it from the Info-Mac archives at sumex.stanford.edu, probably in /Info-Mac/da . It is a really nice DA. jeff templon

In article lotsa people said rey templon) says: >[bunch of talk about vt100 DA not working] i've downloaded the vt220 DA from some system (GEnie possibly), and it worked fine. if someone wants it, send me the comp.binaries.mac address, since i'm sure there will be a good number of ppl who would like this DA, it'll save lots of time. ps- this will emulate a vt100, vt220 and some other one (vt101?) I also just found this DA on SUMEX and it is exactly what I need. The authors are West German and the listing is not too recent so I am not sure where to send the sharewhare fee (30 marks). Anybody else have contact with these people?
