I have a user who is attempting to access Ingres (which runs on a SUN) by using MacKermit on a MacIntosh SE. Whenever she accesses a table, the characters which normally represent the lines and corners of the box surrounding the data are replaced with letters. I believe the extended ASCII characters are not being displayed for some reason. Does anyone know a way around this? Are there switches which can be set in MacKermit which allow the extended character set to be displayed? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Please E-mail responses to goldston@med.unc.edu I will post a summary of the responses. ============================================================================== David F. This sounds like terminal emulation trouble. Off hand, I'd say that the host machine doesn't know it's talking to a VT??? or MacKermit is set to an appropriate term type. We have users attaching to our VAX/VMS machine with MacKermit and MacIP and haven't had this problem. Based on this, I'd guess that the problem you're having is on the Mac end. -bg
