[Hopefully we're all finished bashing CMS drives for the next six months. :-) ] Simply stated, what's the latest version of the CMS formatting software and who can I get it from? My "dealer" (Hardware House) doesn't seem to sell CMS drives anymore and I'm curious how CMS has improved their drivers in the last year (I have version 3.2q). One thing that has always irked me is the drivers require a 1:5 interleave for the Mac+, where other drivers can deal with the Seagate ST-277N with a 1:3 interleave. Any chance of reliable "blind" reads/writes? Additionally, has anyone tried using the "SCSI Accelerator INIT" with these new drivers? (The INIT unfolds a tight loop for higher transfer rates in & out of the Mac so a SCSI drive can be formatted at a lower interleave facter than normal.) Unfortunately, the CMS drivers seem to have timing problems and hang on large writes. Please mail replies to "chris@umbc3.umbc.edu" (formerly umbc3.umd.edu) and I'll post a summary if several wish it to be so.
