[comp.sys.mac] The freedom to sell MACINTOSH equipment in comp.sys.mac

[This was entitled: Re: One more time (Re: WHO CARES (was Re: Mac SE for sale)]

Since we have just recently gotten our NETNEWS feed re-established, I have only
caught a few of the comments under discussion here, but I would like to comment.

I feel that it's perfectly acceptable for someone to attempt to sell (or
request) MACINTOSH equipment in comp.sys.mac! It is a logical place for
individuals who want to sell such equipment to post, as long as their title is
clear about the nature of the article. Comp.sys.mac is also a logical and
convenient place for (potential) buyers to look, for equipment as well as ideas!

TThe biggest thing that galls me are those people who flame a poster of a "for
sale" article (of Mac-relevant hardware/software) with nasty, rude, or impolite
e-mail. If you don't like reading a "for sale" article, simply press the "n"
key and skip over it.

You know, it's kind of ironic; you look at one persons's flame and just THINK of
ALL the keystrokes they used in their flame that COULD have been used as "n"
keystrokes to skip "annoying" articles instead!

This newsgroup, I think, was established for the use of ALL Mac enthusiasts to
discuss and share information on matters of interest regarding COMPuter SYStems
for the MACintosh. I think the selling/trading of mac equipment falls into
this category. However, if a newsgroup were set up for strictly the posting
of MAC "for sale" and "wanted" items, that would be all right with me, too.
