I have been having trouble printing things out on the Apple laserwriter from macwrite 5.0. It seems that what I have written on screen, comes out different on paper. For instance when I printed a page that was composed of this: [14 point Venice] ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- [centered] Introduction ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- [12 point Times] This is the intro paragraph. Blah blah blah blah blah llllll llllll lllll lllll kkkkk mmmmm nnnnnnnnnnn bb vvvv g f ffffffff yyyyyy ttttttt rrrr ee re ppppppppp pp ii uuyyy gggggggg fffffff etc.... The output from the laserwriter was much different. The 14-point Venice font area shown above printed out nicely. The word 'Introduction' was neatly centered and the dashed lines reached all the way to the right margin. But the 12-point Times font paragraph below that (even though it was neatly against the left margin) was a good two inches from where the right margin should be. This is what it looked like: [14 point Venice] --------------------------------------------------------------------------- [centered] Introduction --------------------------------------------------------------------------- [12 point Times] This is the intro paragraph. Blah blah blah blah blah lllll llll lllll kkkkk mmmm nnnnnnnnnnnn bb vvv g f ffffffff yyyy tttttt kkkkkk gg ffff wwwwwwww qqqqqqq aaaaaaaa ssss etc... What is the reason for this? Does it have to do with the font sizes? I would imagine that the font size shouldn't screw up the output, or why have the ability to use them! Could it be that the driver for the laserwriter is old or out of date? Do I need to look at a better word processor to make my output fit the page as it does on the screen? Help answer my questions if you can. I am trying to write my resume' and other important documents with this confusing word processor - laserwriter pair. As an afterthought, could it be that older models or laserwriter I's just normally have this problem or is it commen even to the top of the line model? **************************************************************************** * Jon C.
