I have been trying to use the ftp anonymous directory of GIF pictures at hubcap.clemson.edu. I have fetched the pictures with ftp (I have tried text and binary). I have then downloaded them with mac KERMIT (both text and binary). WHen I tell either GIF Converter or Visionlab to read the files, I get an LZW error (usually -- bad link field). I am looking for some help isolating the problem. Has anybody else downloaded files from this archive successfully? I have tried sending e-mail to both address in the 00readme file on hubcap. Something must have eaten either the mail or (presumably) their response, since several weeks have passed. Any suggestions? Joel M. Halpern 612-424-1606 jmh@nsco.network.com
