I'd like to sugggest two improvements to stuffit: 1) Differential LZW-packing. It's described in the TIFF 5.0 documentation and in addition to improving 8-bit graymap packing, it also improves sound packing by 10%-30%. I wrote a program that does the differentiation and then used Stuffit to pack the file. The results improve at higher sampling rates. 2) "XCMD" interface. Someone requested an atob, btoa filter for Stuffit. The best solution would have been to let them write it for themselves. The binhex 4.0 and segment commands could also be implemented as external code.
