Do any programs exist for creating desktop backdrops for large screens linked to mac IIs? I tried program backdrop from sumex but this seemed to have no effect. THanks in advance for any pointers, Lucian

as it has been said many times, backdrop does not work on a mac2. it works fine
for me on my SE tho. from memory, i think a friend of mine had a cdev called
colordesk (not too sure on this) that would work as backdrop did (except from
the control panel instead of an init). anyone with a mac][ wanna speak up and
name the program?

Give deskpict a try it is availible from sumex in /init/deskpict.hqx. it uses a pict res id 0 called 'DeskPicture' but it does take memory. I finally had to stop running it since my machine only has 2 meg. but it works pretty well. I did not run into any problems, except with programs that used the system clut and did not change it back. rob
