Does this sound like anything recognizable to anyone: my Mac II monochrome screen at times gets very faint moire-like patterns -- sort of like sand dunes -- across it. The picture itself isn't affected; it's sort of like a TV station that's just a little bit off. The pattern is "on top of" the actual picture, if you know what I mean. It seems to happen when it's slightly jostled, or -- most noticeably -- when the mouse is held down in TMON (don't ask me why :->). In fact, when in TMON, the pattern went in different directions depending on which way I move the mouse. The monitor is in 16 gray mode almost all the time. The monitor seems fine otherwise: it's about 1.5 years old and has given me no trouble. In fact, this is not that big a deal, but if anyone knows what might cause this, I'd appreciate the info. Please e-mail me if you can. Thanks, Robert ------ ra_robert@gsbacd.uchicago.edu ------ generic disclaimer: all my opinions are mine
