[comp.sys.mac] How do Macs respond to drops in vol

gillies@p.cs.uiuc.edu (03/20/89)

I have a hardware store surge-suppressor installed between my mac and
the wall.

A few months ago, I accidentally kicked the surge-suppressor cord out
of the socket. The Mac II screen began to disappear, and I realized
it immediately and plugged it back in. The amazing thing was, the mac
didn't crash -- the screen came back and I continued working in MacDraw.

I wouldn't worry about power drops for a fraction of a second.
