Okay, I've seen DeskPict, but when I put a Pict resource there and it comes up, the colors have been changed, screwing up the picture to the point of non-recognition. How can you keep a picture's CLUT with it when it gets displayed as a desktop? Are there any programs out there that can handle that? -- ............................................................................... It has to do with the finder using its own color look up table. You could try adding to the finder's CLUT but I don't know if it would work. There is one other possiblity, that I know of, Palomar produces some software callesd "colorizer" It does all of what Kolor does and more. One of the things it does is allows you to have special CLUT's you could get the PICT's CLUT and tell colorizer to us that. Again, I'm not sure if it would work. If any of this does or if you find a way to do this please let me know. Since we are on the topic of CLUT's, does anybody know how to extend the finder's color menu? You can change the color's by changing the CLUT but I can not figure out how to get more possible selections. If anyone has done this or has any pointers please send me mail or post. thanx, rob rdsesq@jessica.stanford.edu
