[comp.sys.mac] System Stripping

Does anyone have have a listing of which resources in System 6.0 are
already in the Mac SE roms and could therefore be removed to save room?
My boot floppy is getting rather crowded and I could use extra room for
  networking and other inits.

System 6.0 comes with Install scripts for installing minimum configuration
systems which will work only on specific machines (II, SE, or +). I've been
using the II minimum system off and on since 6.0 came out, with no problems.
I would suggest using this as a starting point, and build from there, rather
than attempting to pare down a full system.

I want to know how I might go about stripping down System 4.2 for use with my
Mac+. I have no hard drive, I have only 1 meg RAM, and I don't use
MultiFinder. I am especially interested in trimming my System since I like to
run a 450K ram disk(RamDisk+ 2.01, any more current version around?) as my
System Disk(with Finder 5.4). Any suggestions?

And if you can/can't answer that, how about for Sytem 6.x? What don't I
really need there?

Please tell me what I can take out with ResEdit, and I can probably figure it
out from there. Please e-mail me directly as I don't read this newsgroup
often. Thanks.
